Peking University Third Hospital
The Third Hospital of Peking University (referred to as "The Third Hospital of Beijing Medical University") was founded in 1958. It is a modern comprehensive third-level Class A hospital that integrates medical treatment, teaching, scientific research and preventive health care under the management of the National Health Commission.
As of the end of 2018, there were 5,157 employees and 1,891 open beds on average. The hospital has 36 clinical departments and 10 medical technical departments. It has 27 doctoral programs and 1 clinical postdoctoral mobile station. 57 on-the-job doctoral supervisors, 1 academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, 1 academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, 1 National Thousand Talents Program, 3 winners of the National Natural Science Foundation of China Outstanding Youth Fund, 1 Chief Scientist of the Ministry of Science and Technology "973", Ministry of Education 2 "Changjiang Scholars Distinguished Professors", 2 of them were selected into the national "New Century Talents Project", 1 of the Thousand Talents Program for Young People, 4 winners of the National Natural Science Foundation of China Outstanding Youth Science Fund, and 10 experts with outstanding contributions from the Ministry of Health people.
